🇺🇸 Bretaigne DAO opens an exchange with Breizh Amerika

A new connection has opened around relations between Brittany and the United States.

Following our outreach to Breizh Amerika, its president responded positively and proposed continuing the exchanges directly over the coming days.

Bretaigne DAO would particularly like to explore several avenues with Breizh Amerika, including:

the history of the Breton diaspora in the United States;

identifying American archival collections concerning Bretons;

human, cultural and documentary movements between Brittany and America;

sharing sources, bibliographies and collections;

and their possible future integration into Linked Brittany.

Our reply was sent today from the official address bretaigne.dao@kaz.bzh, with a proposal to arrange a telephone conversation soon.

This new contact progressively expands the research network we are developing around Breton archives dispersed across Europe and beyond.

🌍 From European archives to traces of the diaspora across the Atlantic, Linked Brittany continues to broaden its field of research.
